The mission of the Saugerties Public Library is to serve as a multi-cultural, inclusive institution dedicated to enhancing the life of every member of the Saugerties Community. It provides free access to a balanced collection of educational, cultural, informational and recreational materials and experiences in a welcoming, safe and comfortable environment.

Committee Meeting Schedule:


Facilities: First Tuesday at 6:00 pm 

Outreach: Fourth Monday at 5:30pm. 

Policy & Personnel: Third Wednesday at 6:00 pm Next meeting September 18th.

Finance: Last Tuesday of the Month at 6:00 pm July Meeting is canceled.

The Board of Trustees monthly board meetings are held in the Community Room. Committee meetings are often held upstairs in the Information Room. 

All meetings are open to the public.

Friends of the Library

Become a member of the Friends of the Library and volunteer to help support the library. The Friends take care of the Little Free Libraries, organize a Street Fair, and host fundraising events.
