Public Computers

A valid SPL or Mid-Hudson Library System card is necessary to access a computer.  Patrons who do not have a library card may request a Visitor Card from any service desk. There is a limit of one Visitor Card per day. Computer sessions last for one hour per day. Another one hour extension may be granted, depending upon demand, at the discretion of library staff. The computers automatically shut off 15 minutes before closing each day.

  • Upper Floor: There are 4 computers in the Circulation Room and 8 computers in the Information Room.

    • Virtual meetings: A Chromebook can be checked out for use in the library and can be used for online meetings.

    • Age requirements: Upper floor computers are available to people ages 16 and up.

  • Downstairs:

    • Teen Room: There are 4 computers, one of which is dedicated as a gaming computer.

    • Children's Room: There are 3 computers as well as 4 tablets for children to use. We also have an AWE educational computer for the very young to use that was purchased with funds from the Kiwanis Club. A station in the Children's Room hosts 4 iPads with educational games.
